In the glass: This wine has a deep inky indigo color. On the nose, I smelled hints of blackberry, clove and black licorice although the aroma intensity was moderate. The flavor profile was well balanced, opening with a soft texture and the taste of plum and cloves. Tanins were very subdued and the finish was very short if existent at all. Overall, the wine was missing something to make it special.(faltó onda). Infact, the flavor was sour/bitter and reminded me of a bottle wine that has been open for 2 or 3 days. I expected more, even for such an inexpensive bottle.
Conclusion: Unfortunately I didn’t enjoy this wine a whole lot. The flavor was off for some reason. Even for a bottle costing $5.99 it wasn’t worth the experience. I would much rather drink this $5.99 wine from Trader Joes. I
My rating: mal (4/10)
Music Paring: Rudimentary and unoriginal, this wine pairs well with Argentine punk legends 2 minutos.
I am hopeful that there are some better argentine wines out there at this pricepoint!
