In the glass:
In the glass this wine was a dark red color with blue undertones. After a swirl, I was delighted by an explosion of ripe apple, passion fruit and berry on the nose. (much like the $40 atento malbec I tried a few weeks back). The first sip revealed a malbec with flavors of boysenberry and black cherry, fading into a concentrated cacophony of spices and cocoa.Tannins were present throughout without being overwhelming. This was definitely one of the more interesting malbecs that I have tried on my quest. Like so many others, I feel like it just needs to sit for a few years until the flavors properly develop. It wont be my first choice for a last minute dinner wine, but I will be buying a bottle or two to save for a rainy day down the road.
Conclusion: A solid malbec that seems very underpriced. Cellar it for a few years and it will taste even better.

Your recommendation to cellar it; how long would you ideally store this wine for?
I think that if you cellar this wine for two years it will be spectacular. I plan on buying another bottle to do just that!
It is a very nice bottle and just needs some more time to develop.
